NCCP: National Consumer Credit Protection Legislation

The National Consumer Credit Protection Legislation short course is for anyone providing credit-related services to consumers under the Australian Credit Licence (ACL) or as an authorised representative under the ACL.

 

Who is it for?

All financial Services staff who require this compliance qualification for their Organisation under ASIC and (ACL) legislation requirements.

 

Entry requirements

No entry-level requirements for the NCCP short course.

 

What skills will be gained?

Upon successful completion of this qualification, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Key aspects of the National Consumer Credit Protection Act.

 

Duration

The course duration is 6 months however, the program can also be achieved in a shorter period of time of approximately 1 month.

The time it takes for different people to obtain the competencies will vary depending on such things as work experience and prior learning. Nevertheless, it is estimated that the 'average' student should be able to complete the qualification in approximately 4 hours a week of study

How are our courses delivered?

At ISM, our courses are offered in both online and workshop formats.

Workshops are limited and based on demand. Contact us on 1300 200 705 if you are interested in completing this course in a workshop.

Assessment Information

Assessments for this course will be provided on your learner portal which is accessible via Desktop, tablet or mobile.

For each qualification, there are a range of assessments for each qualification. These assessments vary depending on the qualification and can include the following;

  • Quizzes
  • Written tasks and/or case studies.
  • Verbal assessment, by way of an interview with your trainer.
  • Observation by a trainer.
  • Supervisor Checklists.

Technology Required

To enable completion of this qualification you will require an internet connection to access learning materials and assessments via ISM’s eLearning Portal.

Some assessments may require you to record using a device (such as a smart phone) and submit via our eLearning portal.
