FNS50315 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management

Our diploma qualification gives an excellent understanding of key issues and product information in the finance and mortgage broking industry. You will leave this course knowing that you can offer sound guidance to clients.

Our program includes all the essential skills such as product knowledge, legal aspects and documentation required to implement a mortgage based loan.

This qualification is perfect for those who are already Certificate IV qualified and wanting to upgrade, or for those who would like to start their career as a mortgage broker in Australia.

1. Online

  • 12-month enrolment period with full online access to our eLearning platform.
  • Complete coursework in your own time, online (don’t worry, you can still contact ISM assessors if you require any assistance).
  • Price is $595 (If upgrading from Certificate IV of Finance and Mortgage Broking)

The Diploma of Mortgage Broking will focus on:

  • Understanding the key roles and responsibilities of a Finance or Mortgage Broker
  • Understanding the legislative and regulatory framework of the industry
  • Understanding and promote loan products
  • Gaining AFB (Accredited Financial Broker) status (note: other requirements must also be met, see MFAA website for further details)
  • Gaining a qualification recognised by industry bodies


The program can be completed online for $995.00/$595.00* (annual fee).

* If you currently hold FNS40815 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking or FNS40811 Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking, please upload a certified copy with your enrolment for our Academic Team to review for possible exemptions (reduced price may apply). 

* RPL price on application (pending number of units applying for RPL)

Fees & Enrolment Process

The face to face program is run over 3 days, where you will cover content, however, you will be required to complete the program assessments post the workshop which may involve working through our eLearning portal on some modules.
Please note fees are charged per annum and are GST exempt. Please see HERE for information on further fees that may be applicable.
Once you enrol through the online link above, please be advised that your enrolment will be processed by ISM within 1 business day. An email with instructions will be sent to you regarding invoice and eLearning details. Please note: log on details will only be released once the initial payment is received (unless prior arrangements with your organisation).
It may take up to 2 – 3 business days for you to commence your program.

Who is it for?

This program is particularly appropriate for those who work in financial services and would like to progress to a specialist lending role. It is also, for those who would like to work as finance/mortgage brokers, working independently or with an aggregator or managing a workplace team.

Entry requirements

There are no prerequisites required for enrolling in this course (if you hold an FNS40815 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking or FNS40811 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking, our team will design an individual program to suit you).

Assessment information

Assessments for this course will be provided on your learner portal. There are a range of assessments which include quizzes, written task and/or case studies.

Technology Required

To enable completion of this qualification you will require an internet connection to access Learning Materials and Assessments via ISM’s eLearning Portal. Our system works best of the following browsers: Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer 11.

Some assessments may require you to record using a device (such as a smart phone) and submit via our eLearning portal.
